Boligsocialnet is an organisation whose purpose is to connect and bring together people, organisations and experiences - including in the work with integrated community-housing plans. Building on this, Boligsocialnet wanted an offering for community-housing staff that could strengthen project capabilities and thereby support the ambitions in the integrated community-housing plans being realised in the best possible way.

Background and need

The need was for a flexible programme that could be taken in one go or spread out over time, tailored to the day-to-day reality of community-housing work and recognising the cross-sector collaboration between municipalities, housing organisations, police, schools and civil society. It was central that the content built on citizen-driven activities and the complexity in the field. On top of that, participants would gain the opportunity to build a lasting network for knowledge-sharing and sparring across experiences and disciplines along the way.

Solution

The solution became a modular project-leader programme where each module can be taken on its own or in any order. All modules are run as residentials and are shaped with language, cases and exercises taken directly from community-housing practice.

The programme's three modules are:

  • Foundational project development and organisation
  • Strong collaboration and good process facilitation
  • Steering, improvisation and conflict handling

The programme combines preparation (knowledge input and reflection), practice-oriented teaching modules (theory, sparring and practice training) and trialling in own everyday practice, where participants work with their own projects between the modules. Each module is linked to participants' concrete projects with sparring from the teachers and structured group feedback. There is also a focus on supporting network-building between community-housing staff, so experiences and solutions are shared on an ongoing basis.

Results

Participants rate the programme as extremely useful and concrete - insightful in terms of succeeding in everyday work, regardless of role and the complexity of their current integrated plans. The programme is now in its 11th year and has been continuously adapted to current needs in the community-housing context.
