Since 1986, AG Gruppen has developed and built attractive homes and commercial buildings with a strong focus on sustainability and liveability. Over the years they've grown into a strong player in the market. As a continuation of that, there was a need to strengthen the shared project culture across all links in the project, and the shared language around project work across collaboration interfaces.

Need

AG Gruppen wanted to develop their project culture and strengthen the shared foundation for collaboration across disciplines, experience and areas of responsibility. Initially with a focus on project leaders and construction managers. The effort had to both lift the individual employee's capabilities and be attractive to them in their professional development. At the same time, the ambition was - and is

  • to embed a strong shared project culture that promotes project work and strengthens results and job satisfaction.

Solution

An internal project-leader and project-culture programme tailored to AG Gruppen's needs, core values and existing culture, with ongoing adjustment, coordination and follow-up conversations with the responsible internal leadership coach. In addition, various internal workshops and sparring programmes in connection with current projects and collaboration teams.

The programme is built around 5 modules of 2 days each, where we work theoretically, practically and close to everyday life with topics such as foundational project development, communication and preference understanding, project and task management, conflict handling, leading the project team and external partners, meeting facilitation and negotiation. Before the programme, individual conversations are held with participants focused on learning goals, current capabilities and the ambition for future capabilities. All participants are paired up in learning-buddy pairs who can support each other in embedding the learning in everyday practice. The programme ends with an exam and a final personal conversation focused both on personal development and on what the natural next steps are for the participant - and on the lasting embedding of new tools and methods in day-to-day reality.

Result

A sought-after programme that has strengthened the basic understanding of project work, is plug-and-play in everyday practice, and where the feedback is that the programme not only strengthens personal and organisational capacity, but also helps develop participants as human beings.

The collaboration started in 2019 and is still going.
